DotA Items (Part 1)

I felt I wanted to post some guides or tips in DotA! I have made some of my own DotA tips or guides and planned to post it on the dota-allstars.com website but I need longer time to complete it so I will just put it in my blogs slowly. This is kind of junk or rubbish to those who didn't play dotA or to those who are already master in dotA. Skip this post. Vladmir’s Offering (Total: 2075)






Requirement:
- Ring of Regeneration (375)
- Ring of Basilius [Sobi Mask (325) + Ring of Protection (175)]
- Mask of Death (900)
- Vladmir’s Offering Recipe (300)

Effect:
+16% Lifesteal Aura (melee)
+15% Damage Aura
+0.8 Brilliance Aura
+5 Devotion Aura

I like this item! For me, it’s a must have for a melee hero! Why? Here are the reasons:
1. It save an orb effect slot for lifesteal meaning you still can use other orb effect without stack. If you are not planning on Satanic, then make this instead of Helm of Dominator.
2. 15% extra damage is really useful! It’s effectiveness increase as you get stronger! The extra 15% damage was evaluated from the base damage.
3. 0.8 mana regeneration really save you from going to base a lot for mana!
4. Although +5 Armor is small, it is enough to survive to some strong attack.
5. Very useful in pushing with creeps or neutral creeps! Creeps have bonus damage, armor and life stealing! Cool!
6. Really boost up your team when in group fight! All bonuses you have shared with your friends!
7. Cheap cheap! Ring of Regeneration and Ring of Basilius are among the most famous starting or early game items!


Ring of Regeneration (375 gold)





Effect:
+2 HP Regeneration

The most useful items to start with although some people argue with Tangos or Potion. For me, Ring of Regeneration is much better because you don’t have to activate it hence it heals 2 HP immediately when you were attacked. I ever saw Yong bought this two for 4 HP immediate regeneration then combine it into Cloak of Defiance.

Ring of Regeneration can be combined into:
- Vladmir’s Offering
- Cloak of Defiance
- Headdress of Rejuvenation -> Mekansm


Ring of Basilius (Total: 500)





Requirements:
- Sobi Mask (325)
- Ring of Protection (175)

Effect:
+ 0.65 Brilliance Aura
+ 3 Devotion Aura
+ 3 Damage

A useful early item especially for intelligence heroes. It helps in mana regeneration and also helps in pushing with creeps (although not much). The Aura also benefits other heroes. Joe likes to use this item.

Ring of Basilius can be combined into:
Vladmir’s Offering


Sobi Mask (325)





Effect:
+50% Mana Regeneration

Not so useful when this item were not combined. It helps your mana regeneration but no other bonuses, so may not be useful for early item use. Intelligence character does benefit this but it would be better to upgrade it to Ring of Basilius on early game.

Sobi Mask can be combined into:
- Ring of Basilius -> Vladmir’s Offering
- Oblivion Staff -> Orchid Malevolent


Ring of Protection (175)





Effect:
+ 3 Armor

Useless items when used alone without combining it to Ring of Basilius or Arcane Ring. +3 Armor is too low for its effect to be seen.

Ring of Protection can be combined into:
- Ring of Basilius -> Vladmir’s Offering
- Arcane Ring


Mask of Death (900)





Effect:
+10% Lifesteal (Orb Effect)
Note: Orb Effect does not stack

A useless item when you hold it for too long without upgrading it. Seriously! Don’t keep it long as it is; combine it as soon as possible. This item has an Orb Effect meaning you can’t use it together with other Orb Effect.

Mask of Death can be combined into:
- Helm of Dominator -> Satanic
- Vladimir’s Offering
- Mask of Madness
