Part 1 - Prep & Departure

Last Monday, Asri told me that Sanul wanted everyone to make a surprise for Elly! We were supposed to meet at JP at 5 but Elly went to a function so she’s unavailable for the day. Luckily though, Sanul received Elly’s response early.

Then Sanul’s plan continued on for the next two days which was on Wednesday, 18/3. Sanul called me in the morning and told me that the surprise was on and asked me to text Azam, Mur and Fau. Asri replied late to Sanul and me that time. I don’t know who else Asri, Sanul and others messaged beside me.

The plan was supported by Emi, Elly’s fiancé. He helped us to make Elly stay at home and not realized about out surprise. Sanul told Elly that they want to go badminton at Lumut or Pandan and asked Elly to join us! Elly believed in it though (luckily) and readied with her rackets. She bought a new racket in the morning of the surprise day.

Sanul invited me to join him, Sir Zalee and G-Rais to buy cakes, plates, spoons, cups and drinks. We met at a shop behind The Arch near Kiulap-Gadong round-a-bout. We bought the stuff here and then we went to the Mum’s Bakery to buy cakes!

We had to choose a nice cake for Elly. Ice Cream cakes surely out since it’s going to be a bit long trip. Cheesecake wasn’t a great choice for a party with many people. Sponge cake is too common. Therefore, we decided for Chocolate cakes and in the end we chose the Chocolate Mousse cake. Sanul bought it with 2 lbs size.

Choosing cakes was quite fun! =)

We had some bread & drinks bought at the Mum’s Bakery from Sanul’s treat while waiting at the JP. Bong, Milin, Fyz and Mahrin were there early with Sanul while I and Azam went to Netzone to send my laptop before we went there. Asri, Mur and Fau came a few minutes after we came. Left with Salmi!

"Sapa datang nah?"

Salmi came at last after he finished work at 5.15PM. We took some pictures near the old “Crystal Arch” to mark our departure. We left from JP at 5.45PM with 4 cars. Sir Zalee was with Asri and Salmi. Sanul was with Bong, Mur and G-Rais. Azam was with me, Fau and Mahrin. Milin was with his girl, Fyz.
